Ember Tide

Each canvas I create carries a quiet reflection of a moment lived and felt. This piece is titled Ember Tide, a study in depth and movement through layered tones of indigo, copper, rust, and muted jade. The textured surface, built with intention, mirrors the way emotions settle and resurface—never perfectly smooth, yet always meaningful in their complexity.

As I worked through the layers, I was reminded of dusk over water—the horizon dissolving into shadow while warmth lingers in the sky. There is a push and pull between light and dark, between control and surrender. The raised textures and blended pigments evoke that in-between space where clarity isn’t immediate but slowly reveals itself to those willing to pause.

The lesson within this piece is subtle but steady: life rarely unfolds in clean lines. There is beauty in the layered, weathered, and imperfect. When the surface feels uneven and the colors seem to collide, trust that depth is forming beneath it all. Stillness allows perspective; patience allows meaning.
